Known as the “Coca Cola route,” the Marangu route is a popular path leading to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Often considered the easiest route to Uhuru peak, it allows for a 5-day hike, making it a budget-friendly option. The route provides accommodation on the mountain in huts at each station. However, it’s important to note that the 5-day Marangu route has one of the lowest summit success rates. For a better chance, a 6-day or longer trek is recommended to enhance acclimatization. The route offers comfortable sleeping huts with beds and mattresses at every overnight station.
